First of all…exciting news!! I DID get a new camera just before Christmas! It’s my brother’s old one that he didn’t want anymore because he has an even better one now. But even his old camera is like AAA New York striploin steak compared to the 5 day old hamburger that was my old point-and-shoot camera! I am really excited about it!!!! Now I just have to figure out all the settings and functions!!!
Now on to the actual point of today’s entry: 🙂
While out for a walk yesterday on the York Beltline Trail (an old railway line trail), I came across a fantastic series of murals and graffiti. They are all in a sequence behind an auto repair shop near the “Fairbank Avenue Station” near the corner of Fairbank and Roselawn.
The first mural I came across is three dimensional. I think that’s so awesome. And unique! I am not sure if there are other 3-D murals around. Does anyone reading know of any others?
The mural continues here with a non-3D section:
Next to this mural was a series of street art/ murals/ graffiti leading along an abandoned trailer and the back and sides of a building (auto repair shop).
Here are a couple “location shots:”
It is the largest continuous mural/street art/ I have seen yet in Toronto…if anyone knows of any others, please pass on the location!
I hope everyone has a great New Year’s Eve tomorrow night!
